Now THIS is a special ring!!
In the years around 1875 the "Gypsy Ring" was introduced as a novelty into the world of Jewelry design. It immediately enjoyed popularity for being so easy to wear, with the stones cut to be at the level of the ring's height. The lore of these rings grew to make them very appropriate as a gift of love to be cherished.
This ring was made in England in 1919. 18K setting is beautifully detailed and inset with 3 very fine natural Pyrope Garnets weighing approximately one-half carat in total. It has the Crown (Gold) 18 (18 Karat) Assay (Chester, England) and Date Letter (1919) hallmarked on the inside of the band as shown.
The ring is presented in its original leather box which is in remarkably good condition for a 102 year old piece.
