Antique Sapphire and Diamonds Gypsy Ring in 14K
We were fortunate to happen upon another Turn-of-the-1900s Gypsy Ring while visiting a local Hawai'i Estate. And so very, very lovely!
In the years around 1875 the "Gypsy Ring" was introduced as a novelty into the world of Jewelry design. It immediately enjoyed popularity for being so easy to wear, with the stones cut to be at the level of the ring's height. The lore of these rings grew to make them very appropriate as a gift of love to be cherished. We believe this ring would also make a simple but very elegant Engagement Ring or Wedding Band. It's just that nice.
Set into a beautifully designed, yet simple, 14K setting, this ring features a center natural Pink Sapphire of approximately 4mm in diameter. The Sapphire is flanked on either side by finely matched natural Diamonds, each measuring approximately 3mm in diameter. The diamonds are very clean and have excellent color. Lots of fire in all three of these stones.
This very lovely Gypsy Ring is a size 6.5 (6 1/2) and has a weight of 2.6 grams.
