This is one of several Type A (Natural - no dyes, no infusions) Jadeite Pendants that we acquired from a long-time collector.
Fine Jade is highly prized in most Asian Cultures, and is known as "The Stone of Heaven." Pieces are passed down to favored children over generations. We are both fortunate and pleased to offer this selection to our clients.
This is and older vintage Jade carving and we have left it as-found. Nicely mottled coloration of White-To-Gray and Green Shadows. A finely carved pendant featuring Hotei/Budai, The Smiling Buddha, seated and laughing. A timeless pose. The Pendant measures 50mm x 45mm (not measuring bail) with a weight of 30.38 grams. This pendant is affixed with an 8mm fine 14K gold bail.
