Large Jadeite Seated Smiling Buddha Pendant - Honolulu, Hawaii
We recently acquired numerous Type A (Natural - no dyes, no infusions) Jadeite Pendants from a long-time collector. This is one of those pieces.
Fine Jade is highly prized in most Asian Cultures, and is known as "The Stone of Heaven." Pieces are passed down to favored children over generations. We are both fortunate and pleased to offer this selection to our clients.
This is older Jade and we have left it as-found. Nicely mottled coloration of White-To-Gray and Green Shadows. A finely carved pendant featuring Hotei/Budai, The Smiling Buddha, seated and laughing. A timeless pose. The Pendant measures 50mm x 45mm (not measuring bail) with a weight of 30.38 grams.
This pendant is affixed with an 8mm fine 14K gold bail and will be delivered as shown with box suitable for display, storage or presentation.
