Antique 3-Row Diamond Cluster Ring in Yellow Gold
This is a beautiful Antique Ring worth noticing. When we use "Antique" to describe an item, we are saying that it is over 70 years old. The definition varies from place to place, but that is ours. And we know well that this ring dates to 1942 - it's in the inscription. More about that later.
This absolutely stunning ring is all about very, very pretty natural Diamonds. Each is clean, near-colorless, and full of fire. The natural Diamonds are arranged in 3 rows, with 10 diamonds in each row. The 2 outer rows measure approximately 1.75mm and the inner row about 2mm. All total this gives a weight of about .75 (3/4) Carat. Each Diamond is prong-set in 14K Yellow Gold. This ring is a size 6.25 (6 1/4) and has a weight of 2.9 grams.
The ring has an engraved inscription "RMA TO BLS 2-23-42." That gives us the date. As it is a generic inscription, and it provides great dating, we elected to leave as-found. Should the new owner desire, the inscription can be easily filled-and-buffed or buffed-away by any Goldsmith.
