Vintage One-Half Carat Diamond Solitaire Pendant
Coming to you from Naples, Florida via an estate on our Garden Isle of Kauai.
Estate tells us this was acquired in the 1980s while living in Naples, Florida. It remains in its original Girard Jewelers Velvet Box. Girard was a high-end jeweler in the Naples area when they were in business up through the 1980s.
The natural Diamond measures 5mm in diameter - one-half carat by calculation. It is beautifully eye clean and we estimate in the SI range of clarity and near colorless G-I color range. The setting is 14k White Gold, but is suspends from a 16 inch 14k Yellow Gold Chain. Not that unusual, a question of personal preference, and we saw no reason to change it. Many say that white against gold provides a better contrast. We can understand that logic.
