Fiji Pearls are relative newcomers to the market of beautiful Tahitian Pearls. Fiji Pearls differ from Tahitian Pearls in that the host oyster, Pinctada Margaritifera Typica, differs slightly from its Tahitian cousin, Pinctada Margaritifera Cumingii. Same family, different sub-species. Both produce gorgeous Salt Water Pearls. Fiji Pearls offer a wider range of colors, and color saturation and luster is exceptional.
This Fiji Pearl measures ~10.5mm. It is hosted by a heavy 14k Gold setting accented by a curved string of natural Diamonds that beautifully accent - but not detract from - The Rose Pink Fiji Pearl. The natural Diamonds are channel set and graduated from ~2.5mm to ~1mm. Pearl, Diamonds, and Gold are in perfect balance.
This ring measures as a size 5.5 (5 1/2) and has a weight of ~6.34 grams.
