Vintage Multi-Color Jade Bead Necklace
We're not certain of the age of this piece, but our collaboration with the estate dates to the late 70s or early 80s. But apparently worn little from the condition. Presents as a new piece.
We're going to call this necklace somewhat of a rarity. Yes, you see beautiful Multi-Color Jade Necklaces in many fine jewelry stores, but in this case there's a notable distinction. Lavender Jadeite! The more traditional colors for these necklaces is Jadeite of Red, Yellow, and Green, and Black Nephrite Jade. You rarely, rarely see Lavender Jadeite.
The Lavender Jadeite is very translucent and of medium Lavender shading. Truly a beautiful presentation. The necklace is knotted between each bead, and each bead measures ~8.3mm. The overall necklace length is ~18" and the necklace has a weight of ~50 grams.
