Vintage Large Faceted Italian Red Agate Pendant
When dealing in estate, vintage and antique jewelry there's no telling what will come along next. This is a great case in point.
A very fine vintage Italian made Red Agate pendant mounted in a 14K gold frame. This is a rare piece on several levels: excellent finish with highly polished front and back, excellent translucency, and very even texture. They're all here. And the checkerboard faceting is especially nice and not often applied to Red Agate. The color, too, is remarkable, closely resembling Ruby Red.
We mention that this is a large pendant, which it is, measuring 32.5mm in diameter. It suspends beautifully from a 16 inch rope chain in 10K gold. The pendant has a weight of 11g and the chain has a weight of 2.86 grams.
