Vintage 14K Half-Carat Diamond Bypass Ring
Here from the 1950s for a return performance is this very stylish and beautifully crafted one-half carat (plus) bypass ring in a 14K yellow gold setting. We say (plus) because the 4-natural Diamonds actually total to a bit over one-half carat, more like 54 points.
The yellow gold bypass is joined by a row of 4 natural Diamonds, each prong set in white gold, and each just a tic less than 14 points. The Diamonds are fabulously clear, and we estimate SI-VS clarity and G-I color.
The ring is a size 8.25 (8 1/4) with the 14K sizing balls (see photo) in place. If you needed the ring to be a size larger, just have your jeweler remove the balls and, voila, a size larger. There's a lot of gold in this ring. We were surprised when weighing to find it weighed 5.26 grams.
