Fabulous Vintage Opal Pendant - Birthstone for October
Vintage natural fine quality solid Australian Opal pendant with lots of fire! Brought to us from a local Hawai'i estate, this is one very pretty Opal. And it's a large Opal. Most large Opal pendants are in the 15mm x 9mm range in size, and that measurement usually includes the frame loop.
Much larger than the norm, this is a 21mm x 11mm natural cabochon Opal measuring the Opal only. Not parts of the frame. It has the size and presence to justifiably attract notice to its beauty and fire. The Opal rests in a 14K frame and is suspended from a 14K chain of 18" in length and appropriate size to not overwhelm or detract from the pendant. It is highly polished on front and back, a hallmark of a fine Opal gemstone.Pendant and chain together have a weight of 2.29 grams.
