14K Mans 1.5 Carat Diamond Cluster Ring
We love it when a ring comes with a story! We're told this vintage ring was custom made in the 70s for a man who was known as "The Champagne Man." That nickname came from his days as a young man enjoying the evenings at Del Webb's Kuilima Hotel on O'ahu's North Shore. Just starting out he couldn't afford the pricey drinks of the hotel lounge, but he could enjoy the inexpensively priced bottle of "Andre" Champagne which would last for the entire evening. The staff began calling him "The Champagne Man" and it stuck. Later in life having become somewhat successful, and liking the nickname, he had a local custom jeweler find 7 well-matched golden champagne colored natural Diamonds for this ring. The Diamonds are well matched in color and really do capture the color of sparkling champagne. All together the diamonds weigh approximately (perhaps a bit more than) 1.5 (1 1/2) carats. The ring is a size 10.25 (10 1/4) and weighs 9.7 grams. A gorgeous ring with a great story built-in.
