Such a beautiful pendant! This is a custom made piece. It was commissioned to be cast in the form of Holly Berries - a popular treatment for pearls and other round gems in the late 50s and 60s and even continuing today.
There are 11 Akoya Cultured Pearls mounted onto a heavy 14K Yellow Gold Frame/Mounting. Two buttons are seen representing the stubs of fallen berries.
It is a good-sized Pendant. The 11 Akoya Pearls are Cream with Pinkish-Rose Overtones. Each Pearl measure between 6.5mm and 7mm. The North-South height of the pendant is 35mm, and the East-West width is 27mm. This pendant is suspended from a 24.5 (24 1/2) inch long braided Yellow Gold Chain.
