Estate 14K Yellow Gold Ring with Madeira Citrine and Almandine Garnets
A wonderful estate find.
The color combination here is fabulous! A rare deep yellow-to-orange Madeira Citrine in the center flanked by two red-to-rust Almandine Garnets. Just lovely. So how rare is Madeira Citrine? Some estimates say Madeira Citrine is less than 2% of all Citrines. That rare. Really.
The large stones are flanked on the shoulders by channel set accent stones that are likely White Sapphire, White Garnet, or the like. Testing was uncertain, although we did ascertain they are not Diamond. Still - Gorgeous!
The Madeira Citrine measures 8mm in diameter - a big center stone. Each of the Almandine Garnets measures 6mm each. Excellent proportion. The Citrine has a weight of 1.79 Carats and the Almandines together have a weight of 1.66 Carats for a total weight of 3.45 Carats. Just soooo nice.
This beauty is a size 5 and has a weight of 4.39 grams.
