Vintage Silver-Blue Akoya Baroque Pearls Cluster Ring in 14K Gold
As lovely as they get.
We're not sure of the dating for this piece, and the estate was unclear as well. Best guess is the early 1960s. That fits with the style.
We call this a cluster ring because, well, it's a nice cluster of Pearls. But this arrangement has been called by several other names: Dangle Ring, Charm Ring, even Chandelier Ring. There are 12 Silver-Blue Akoya Baroque Pearls, each measuring approximately 7mm each. They are joined to the ring by small bails set into each Pearl. The bails on the Pearls are joined to 3 bails set onto the ring body, 3 bails on the ring with 4 Pearls on each bail. This attachment of Pearls to Ring allows the Pearls to remain in motion while being worn. A beautiful effect. One we know you're going to love.
These are very good quality Akoya Baroque Pearls, Silver-Blue with strong Rose overtones, on a beautiful 14K Yellow Gold Band. The ring is a size 5.25 (5 1/4) and has a weight of approximately 7.94 grams.
