Beautiful and increasingly hard to find. This piece comes to us from an estate on the Valley Island of Maui and dates to around the late 1970s. The Red Coral for this Rose-Carved Pendant most likely comes from the Pacific near Taiwan and Japan. This is the traditional harvest ground for Red-Coral, along with other grounds in the Mediterranean. The Rose has long since been a favored carvers' motif for Red Coral, and this one is done very well.
The natural Red Coral measures approximately 28mm x 25mm. Nice size for a pendant and will display prominently. The pendant has a complimenting 14K Yellow Gold Bail and is suspended from an 18 inch 14K Yellow Gold Singapore Chain.
