Vintage Custom Spessartite Garnet Solitaire Ring
From an O'ahu Estate we bring this lovely ring In 10k Yellow Gold. It features a pair of intertwined leaves, likely Acanthus Leaves, which frame the space for the large solitaire gemstone. And what a gemstone! Spessartite. This gem was discovered in the late 1800s and has become a favorite of gemologists and jewelers alike. An uncommon stone with its own distinct beauty in blended shades of orange and red.
From the estate we're told that this ring dates to the late 1960s and the gemstone is a 2.5 (2 1/2) carat Mozambique Spessartite in a mesmerizing Reddish Orange Color, which is typical of this gem. It measures approximately 8mm x 4.6mm. It suits the setting so very well it's hard not to fall in love with this ring.
This ring is a size 7.25 (7 1/4) and has a weight of 7.7 grams.
