Vintage Hand Carved Angel Skin Coral Rose on Black Coral

Coral has been and continues to be highly prized in jewelry. Red Coral, Black Coral, Gold Coral, and Angel Skin Coral are perennial favorites. Here in Hawai'i we are fortunate to find all of these Corals, either proximate to our islands, or a bit further into the Pacific Ocean.
This is a beautifully executed pendant featuring two favorite Hawai'i Corals: Angel Skin and Black. The Angel Skin Coral, harvested from the Norther Pacific, has a beautiful Salmon-Pink Color which is very even across the hand carved Rose. The hand-carved Rose is beautifully executed and in fine detail. It is contrasted and further accented by having been mounted on a base of Hawaiian Black Coral. Gorgeous.
The Black Coral Base measures 40mm x 21mm and the carved Angel Skin Coral measures 22mm x 17mm. A great addition to your collection of fine jewelry.
The pendant is in exceptionally good condition without any issues to note. We are told by the estate that it has been stored away for at least the last 20 years, which is easily believable. We date this pendant to the mid to latter 1960s.
