Antique Victorian Almandine Garnet and Pearl Ring Encircled With Seed Pearls

There's just so much to say here. A beautiful antique ring, most likely Victorian Era (although the Victorian influence remained after the Era). It is a 14K Yellow Gold custom made setting. The ring is not marked for 14K, but we have tested and guarantee gold purity.
This ring is large. Very large. It measures 29mm North-South. The Marquise Cut center stone alone is approximately 19mm x 10mm. We believe the center stone to be Almandine Garnet, although it could be an early true-synthetic Ruby. Both have high refractive indexes and other tests we performed overlap. Sorry, but we would not consider removing the stone from the setting for further testing. Because either way, it's a beautiful gem. Beautiful.
The center stone is surrounded by Seed Pearls of approximately 4mm each. The Pearls were drilled and strung onto 14K gold wire. The wire was then fed into and fastened within the interior of the ring's body.
It is a beautiful composition in every respect. A ring of which anyone would be proud to add to their collection of fine jewelry.
This beauty is a size 6 and has an impressive weight of 10.7 grams.
