Vintage 14k Marquise Emerald and Diamond Ring
It's the age-old dilemma. Do I buy the Gem of the best quality, or the larger Gem with lesser quality. That was the dilemma here, and the previous owners chose quality - unquestionably.
This vintage natural Emerald and Diamond Ring from the 1960s features a smaller setting area. The Marquise Cut Emerald measures 5.5mm x 3mm x 2.5mm. But goodness, is it ever a beautiful, beautiful Emerald. The color is no less than exquisitely fabulous. Everyone here wanted to take a look and all remarked on the beauty of the Gem.
Many here had the same comment - that while it was likely not designed as an engagement or wedding ring, it certainly would work as such if non-traditional styling was your choice.
The natural Columbia Emerald is surrounded by natural melee Diamonds which enlarges the face of the ring to about 10mm North to South. A wider 14k Yellow Gold body was chosen to best accent the setting, and give the ring more substance. In all it is a lovely, lovely creation. This ring is a size 6 and has a weight of 2.5 grams.
