Vintage 14k Navette Form Carnelian Pendant
From an O'ahu Estate comes this venerable and oh-so-lovely Carnelian Pendant and chain. The estate tells us that by their best estimate this pendant dates to around 1940 - or perhaps a bit before. From the style elements and composition we would agree. While not a "Victorian Era" piece, this pendant certainly displays the strong influence of Victorian styling.
In beautiful condition without any issues, this will be a prized jewelry accessory. The Carnelian Gemstone is cut in Navette, or Marquise, Form. It is hosted by a 14K Yellow Gold Setting. It is a sizable pendant, measuring 28mm in length without the bail. The 14K Yellow Gold "Flat-S Link" chain from which the pendant is suspended is 18 inches in length. Together, both pendant and chain have a goodly weight of 5.1 grams.
