Estate 14K Rare Green Tanzanite Solitaire
From our Garden Isle of Kauai we bring this gorgeous, and rare, Estate Green Tanzanite - or Green Zoisite - Ring.
The Bluish-Violet variety of the Zoisite gemstone was given the name "Tanzanite" by Tiffany & Co. after Tanzania, the country in which it was discovered. The scientific name of "Blue-Violet Zoisite" was not thought to be sufficiently consumer friendly by Tiffany's marketing department, who introduced it to the market in 1968. Following Tiffany's example, the rare, green variety, of Zoisite is often referred to as Green Tanzanite, though it has gained its own popularity and following as Green Zoisite.
This is a beautiful gemstone and has been given excellent treatment in its 14K White Gold Mounting. The Zoisite has a weight of 1.23 Carats. It is given a natural Diamond Sunburst Halo to highlight, but not compete with, the Zoisite Solitaire. The natural diamonds have a weight of .14 Carat. The face of the ring has a measure of 12mm x 10mm.
This ring is a size 7 and has a weight of approximately 2.5 grams.
