Unused 1.50 Carat Diamond Ring in 18K Setting
We love the stories that often accompany acquired jewelry pieces. Here's this ring's (and its counterpart's SKU19126) story. A gentleman was working up his nerve to ask a lady for her hand in marriage. He went to a custom jeweler and went back-and-forth for weeks deciding between this ring, and one very similar (which we also have). He ultimately settled on this ring design and acquired it. While still working up his nerve he decided that he had picked the wrong ring. So back to the jeweler for yet another order. The first ring, being custom made, couldn't be returned. Now with two rings he was still mulling over how best to ask for the lady’s hand. In the end, as we're told, he decided that he much preferred the bachelors' life so the rings went into a safety deposit box, unworn and unused, where they stayed for many years. This estate beautyis a custom made ring in 18K gold. It is set with a 1 carat (weighed) diamond solitaire and flanked by a total of .50 (1/2) carat of baguettes for a total weight of 1.5 (1 1/2) carats. The ring is a size 6.25 (6 1/4) and weighs 9.6 grams.
